But where does the path lead? Back down in the valley. Some day I would like to stay on top.
Interesting comment Shirley. I see the mountain as the challenge, the path as the way to overcome it, and the valley on the other side as level ground
Believe me, I know the mountain is a huge challenge. I’ve been fighting it too long, and surely I have gotten off the path many times which makes it even harder; but if there is a valley on the other side, even if it is level ground, it requires going downhill AGAIN to get there. I want to finally reach the point where I don’t have to go down any more, but just be able to live in my one house in peace and safety.
I see your point
Have you seen Mt. Fuji? It is a beautiful and amazing sight, but the challenge of hiking to the top is nothing to the decent down the other side. Going down is always so much painful than going up.
Let me see if I can say something to redeem myself. I think this saying is very true, but I am nowhere near it.
YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL BEING STRONG IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE.
